Terms of Use

Effective date: 2026-06-05

These are the terms for using Lampas, a Bible reader app for Apple platforms, operated and published by KHASSINX LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“we”, “us”), under the brand KhassinX.

By installing or using Lampas, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The app

Lampas is an iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and watchOS application for reading the Bible. It presents public-domain editions of the text — original and translation side by side — and includes an on-device, non-generative concordance that surfaces related passages. Lampas does not interpret, paraphrase, summarize, or generate scripture. It ranks and shows the text verbatim; it does not author commentary.

The app is distributed exclusively through the Apple App Store. Apple’s standard end-user license agreement (the “Licensed Application End User License Agreement”) also applies to your use of Lampas; in case of conflict between these terms and Apple’s EULA, Apple’s EULA prevails for matters within its scope.

License

Lampas grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with Apple’s usage rules and these terms.

You may not:

Pricing

Lampas is offered pro bono — free of charge. There is no purchase required, no subscription, and no advertising. An optional tip jar (in-app purchase) may be available if you wish to support the work; it unlocks no features and is entirely voluntary. Any such purchases are processed by Apple; we never see your payment information.

The scripture text

The scripture text in Lampas comes from public-domain or CC0 editions, presented verbatim, with attribution per edition: the English is the Berean Standard Bible (released to the public domain under CC0), and the Spanish is the Reina-Valera 1909 (public domain). We make no claim of ownership over these editions. The specific edition shown is identified within the app.

Lampas presents the canon in a tradition-aware manner and does not harmonize divergent versions or reconcile differences between traditions. The handling of the divine name, the ordering of books, and other editorial matters follow the edition as published.

On-device concordance and accuracy

Lampas’s concordance uses on-device semantic search to surface passages related to your query. It ranks relevance; it does not produce interpretation, doctrine, or generated text. Relevance ranking can be imperfect, and the passages it surfaces are a starting point for your own reading and study, not an authoritative answer. You remain responsible for your own reading and interpretation of the text.

Service availability

Lampas is an on-device app. There is no required server connection for core functionality. The website at lampas.khassinx.com may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or other reasons; this does not affect the app.

Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, KHASSINX LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law (including, where applicable, statutory consumer rights and liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct).

Termination

You may stop using Lampas at any time by deleting it from your devices. We may discontinue the app at any time.

If you violate these terms, we may, at our discretion, refuse to provide future services or releases.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, where KHASSINX LLC is organized, without reference to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, except where consumer protection laws of your residence give you mandatory rights to a different venue.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, the new version replaces the old at this URL. Material changes will be flagged in the app’s release notes.
